Hello Carny Family and family we’ve yet to meet. I want to take a minute to explain The Vapers Carnivale process for those that might not know.
The Vapers Carnivale, since it’s founding, has hyper focused on :
- Introducing smokers and educating them on the benefits of tobacco harm reduction alternatives
- Raising awareness of and funding for advocacy organizations in the Vapor Industry.
In just a year we have built a reputation for being “The Smoker Expo” , and thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors have introduced 634 smokers to a smoke-free lifestyle. Because of this hyper focus, we haven’t been as effective at broadcasting “how” we implement a proprietary strategy mostly because we wanted to protect our business model. In light of current news, we’ve had to analyze that position somewhat. We are grateful for all of the support that we see on social media and we see you!
I had a few calls over the past few days, from people who wanted to know more about how we address issues that appear to be in the spotlight lately so I wanted to answer as many as I can. If you’d like to see answers to other questions, please send them to email@example.com.
Youth Appealing Products
It has been a part of our policy since the beginning to not allow exhibitors with marketing that could be considered appealing to youth or infringes on the intellectual properties of established brands. It has always been our mission to not support or promote companies that employ those practices. We believe in the fundamental principle that eliminating combustible tobacco with vapor products is a healthier alternative and anything that could potentially be an obstacle to that should not be supported. FDA compliance is required to participate in our expos , as those requirements change our policies will also change.
We invite advocacy organizations to our events on our dime. We pay for travel and accommodations, provide a free booth, and work with the group to develop a panel to answer questions or promote legislative efforts. All ticket proceeds are then donated directly to our participating organizations, as well as any auctions or product raffles that happen during expo hours. We offer advocacy sponsorships to offset the cost of travel and accommodations for these groups. The groups then pass out materials, raise awareness and membership while offering advice on the local communities we are doing business in. One of the founding principles of The Vapers Carnivale Expo is supporting advocacy efforts For Smokers By Vapers.
What’s in the Box?
We understand that excessive product giveaways impact local vape shop owners, which is why we implemented our “What’s in the Box” promotion. With this promotion, we send *free admission bracelets , posters, flyers, and B2B passes to participating retail locations. We then direct consumers to participating retail locations to obtain the free passes whose address and phone numbers are then placed on our website for reference. We then visit as many of those locations personally as possible and promote through our social media channels with video and photo opportunities on location , directing people to these retail locations to get their *free admission passes to our expo. At the expo , we will be providing lists of these retail locations to each smoker that participates in our starter kit offer.
After ID is verified, we charge a $1.00 tobacco transaction fee to each adult entering our show in compliance with FDA regulations. This applies to every adult that possesses a *free admission bracelet, both consumer and B2B. No children are allowed inside regardless of supervision. This is an event for adults only and many exhibitors will have products that contain nicotine. WARNING: PRODUCTS AVAILABLE INSIDE OUR EVENT MAY CONTAIN NICOTINE. NICOTINE IS AN ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCE.
*Free Starter Kit
Our starter kit sponsor provides the device and e-liquid at their booth as well as brand ambassadors that will guide the smoker through the expo and answer questions that new vapers might ask. We encourage education specific to frequently asked questions or concerns about vaping and/or the vapor products being provided.
